What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Testimony

Dedicated to helping our Community with empathy, commitment, and vitality.

Charlotte and Sherri are birth sisters who lived in almost every quadrant of the city in Washington D.C, as homeless children for 18 years of their childhood.  From shelter to shelter and from one housing authority system to the next, they regularly lived in unsafe and under resourced environments that were food deserts, with lots of rodents, drugs, violence and not to mention the absence of toiletries for self-care as young girls.

Charlotte and Sherri washed their faces with their shirts, washed clothes in their bathtub with scales of soap and cleaned dishes with shampoo.  The rest of the month was spent, using the wrong things for the right reasons while waiting for government assistance monthly.

Now today and since March 2016, Charlotte and Sherri have been delivering dignity back to the community ONE GOOD at a time, as a 501 c (3) non-profit organization "Good Friday" ensuring that 100 toiletries of quality reach the hands of homeless children and families each month at a local shelter in D.C.

Don't pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. When God's people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.
